The task of these cookies is, for example, the identification of the surfer (session ID), the storage of a login at an Internet application such as Wikipedia, Facebook, etc. or the storage of a shopping cart at an online retailer.

There are both first-party cookies (“first party”) and third-party cookies (“third party”). First-party cookies are created directly by our site, while third-party cookies are created by partner websites (e.g. Google Analytics). Each cookie is to be evaluated individually, as each cookie stores different data. Also, the expiration time of a cookie varies from a few minutes to a few years. Cookies are not software programs and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other “pests”. Cookies also cannot access information on your PC.

Once cookies have been set, you can also delete them at any time. You can find out how all this works in detail in the help function of your browser. We reserve the right to also use information obtained by means of cookies from an anonymized analysis of the usage behavior of visitors to our websites in order to display specific advertising for certain of our products to you on our own websites. We believe that you as a user benefit from this because we display advertising or content that we assume, based on your browsing behavior, matches your interests and you are thus shown less randomly scattered advertising or specific content that may be of less interest to you. The legal basis for the data processing here is Art. 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

In the event that IP anonymization is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On behalf of the website operator, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.

These cookies were used in our last test (see stand below):

You can also find more information in the terms of use and the overview of Google’s data protection. We point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the function _anonymizeIp() to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (IP masking).
