The workshop started with an intriguing highlight, a seemingly simple game (foot voting), which had an excellent bonding effect. The course was filled with valuable content and delivered in a lively and engaging manner. Ms. Feng led the participants to learn about seven productivity factors through paired communication, helping us establish the initial impression of a team coach.
During the workshop, we gained insights into some fundamental concepts of team coaching, which also piqued our curiosity about systematic courses. The Q&A session was diverse and exciting!
Does Ms. Feng have any experience of failure? Certainly, she does! Team coaching requires continuous practice and improvement, and growth often comes from making mistakes. Making errors is inevitable, but what’s crucial is not to halt one’s progress.
Regarding training on coaching awareness: Coaching awareness is highly important. Throughout the process of leading team coaching projects, coaches need to be mindful of themselves and the entire team. This is an ongoing practice that requires continuous refinement.
How is our relationship with clients? In team coaching, our relationship with clients is not that of a first party and a second party; rather, we are in it together.
Should the team leaders participate in the team coaching?
Definitely! Leadership must participate! Team coaching works for the entire team, facilitating a transform experience. Team leader’s participation is crucial, as the leader’s relationship with the team and the collaborative work pattern are central to the work of a team coach!

A feeling of exceptionally fresh air…
Colleagues’ memorable phrases resonated strongly with everyone: Reviewing is not about blame but about pursuing improvement. Team coaching has provided us with an empowering perspective. For example: We often say we lack sufficient resources. However, most people assume it means quantitie of material things of personnel, overlooking the fact that team resources also include the team members’ ability to effectively manage available resources, best use of team strengths – talents and skills, sustainable work environment and team energy, and team is effective at creating win-win solutions. When we look at resources in this way, we instantly discover many previously unnoticed resources. Clearly, our understanding of the team is severely lacking. We have been wasting a considerable amount of valuable team resources that we originally possessed! Just as when we encounter problems, looking at an individual or a single situation often doesn’t provide a solution. But when we examine the entire team, the relationships among team members, and a broader spectrum of resources, we discover that the answers lie within.
In just one afternoon of team coaching, we’ve had a taste of it, and it has opened up a systemic perspective for us.
Mr. Philip suggests that the seeds of team coaching should spread like dandelions to more places, allowing more teams to come alive.
